CY The Colisseum
We went on a tour because it had a short line and it was cheap. We went up first and our tourist talked about the history like how old it is. Then we went higher and our tourist talked about the fighting. It was the coolest part of learning about the Colisseum. The tourist said things like how the audience would put thumbs up if the contestant lives so they live, or thumbs down if they wanted them to die. They would slaughter the person. The contestants (gladiators) are usually war prisoners and that kind of people. Then we went down and the tour was over. We took pictures and looked at artifacts and ancient columns. Then we left and ate gelato and drank soda and napped and read and other stuff then proceeded to the Forum.

The Forum
The Forum is a big city that used to be the center of Rome. It is mostly ruins. First we walked to a big bath. In Rome, baths were like giant pools. Then we went to a terrace and there was a great view of the whole Forum. Then we went down while my dad told us about Julius Caesar and we saw the grave of Julius Caesar. It had flowers all over it. It was beautiful. Then we just walked around the city and went to a big Roman-looking building and took pictures.
Then we walked home.
The End.

The Colisseum is pretty brutal so I am glad you had gelato to round out your day. ;) Happy Father's day, Doug!
