Our First Gelato Stop
NINA After about 25 hours of planes, trains, and automobiles, and settling into our apartment on Via Della Corrozze, which was a few blocks away from the Spanish Steps, we were hungry! And after finding a pretty nice pizzeria near the Trevi Fountain, I had to take the kids to my favorite gelateria in Rome, which I discovered on my last visit in 2003. I've been dreaming about San Crispino for months, and it did not disappoint. I've never had a scoop of pistachio ice cream that had more pistachio bits than this one. Cy's peach selection really tasted like mashed up fresh peaches. And Erica's black chocolate chips were only of the best quality around. We're here for four more days and my quest will be to find a better gelateria than this one. I doubt I'll find anything better. Must go back...
