Visiting the Miro Museum

NINA  One of my favorite places to visit in Barcelona is Fundació Joan Miró, a museum dedicated to the life and work of one of city's most famous artists. This is my third visit and I like it even more each time. The guy had a spectacular career -- he worked in the same period as Picasso as well as later in his life during the period of Abstract Expressionism.

The kids enjoyed his work, which was quite a contrast to many of the classical paintings they saw in Rome and Venice. It was a nice and easy place to see art compared to the gargantuan spaces at the Biennale.
